The #UKin100Seconds

Does anyone know what the UK really looks like? I’m not so sure… and I think that’s a problem.

Twisted imaginations and incorrect assumptions can distort decisions that affect our lives. We need to get a better sense of proportion. That’s why I’ve made The UK in 100 Seconds in collaboration with Friends of the Earth and aerial cinematographer Jack Smith. In this controversial short film each second = 1 % of what the UK looks like from the air.

The film was made by travelling from Tongue in Scotland to the New Forest in England, walking across 32 different kinds of land and filming in about 50 locations.
